Purchasing is a service department that is responsible for acquiring goods and services and managing the disposal of surplus materials for Westbank First Nation in an ethically professional and cost-effective manner. This department maintains a strict purchasing policy coupled with internationally recognized procurement practices. It also maintains a list of potential bid opportunities.
Purchasing is also responsible for the disposal of surplus assets through channels established by WFN’s asset disposal policy.

Westbank First Nation's Purchasing Administrator is responsible for the procurement of goods and services across the organization.
• Contact vendors to request an informal quotation for goods and/or services; or
• Issue formal documents (RFQ, RFP, and Tender) on the Bid Opportunities section of WFN's website.
Vendors are responsible for staying informed of current or upcoming procurement opportunities. In some cases, consistent with industry practice, Purchasing may contact selected known vendors to ensure they are informed of upcoming opportunities as they are posted electronically.
Please note that WFN does not have the resources to personally contact all potential proponents of all opportunities.

All Requests for Quotations (RFQ), Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Tender competitions are posted electronically on the Bid Opportunities section of WFN's website. Any business interested in becoming a vendor for WFN is invited to respond to opportunities posted.
