Under Westbank First Nation Dog and Cat Control Law 2005-04 all dogs must have a license. A license can be issued by any of the agents listed below if you have acquired a new dog, or are a new resident. Please be advised, it is your responsibility to get a dog license. Failure to obtain a dog license may result in a $75.00 fine
Please note that after February 28th, a $75.00 fine will be issued to all unlicensed dogs except:
If your dog is not currently correctly licensed and is impounded, a $50 fee will be added to you total. (This is in addition to the licensing, impounding, and sustenance fees).
Except for persons residing on properties that are zoned to allow for kennels, no person will be allowed to keep more that two (2) dogs. Kennels are also required to renew their annual kennel licenses at this time.
