New Youth Centre
The new Youth Centre, under construction since fall 2015, will officially open in early 2017. It is located in the Community Core next to the WFN Health & Wellness Center at 1900 Quail Lane.

Sensisyusten House of Learning Renovation and Expansion
The Sensisyusten House of Learning will possibly undergo a renovation and expansion, as a result of WFN receiving funding as part of the INAC Innovation Funding Program. This work will include a comprehensive assessment on the existing building to determine required upgrades, working with all community stakeholders to complete a School Needs Assessment to develop conceptual plans. This design work is scheduled for completion in October 2017, with construction to begin in 2018.
Old Okanagan / Shannon Lake Sidewalk Extension
In an effort to continue improving pedestrian safety and encourage active transportation, WFN Council approved funding for construction of over 900 metres of new sidewalk, bike lanes, and street lights on Old Okanagan Highway and Shannon Lake Road. The project is scheduled to be completed in spring of 2017.
Community Core Improvements
Following the completing on the new Youth Centre, the final phase of the Community Core improvements, scheduled for 2017, will include the sport court and recreation area, a community gathering space, improved traffic flow, sidewalks and drop off areas for the school and Health & Wellness Center, extension of the multi-use pathway throughout the Community Core, and improved landscaping.
Phase Ten Housing Project
WFN received approval to construct six new single family homes on Falcon Lane. Congratulations to the Members who were successful in receiving allotments. Construction of these homes is expected to be complete in 2017.
1896 Fox Road Duplex Renovation Project
This duplex will soon undergo a major renovation.
