Westbank First Nation residents who own dogs are required to license dogs that are over the age of three (3) months, in accordance with Westbank First Nation Dog and Cat Control Law 2005-04. Licenses must be purchased in person at the Westbank First Nation Local Government Services Office. Please be advised, it is your responsibility to license your dog.
Fee Payment Deadline: last day of February
Except for persons residing on properties that are zoned to allow for kennels, no person will be allowed to keep more that two (2) dogs. Kennels are also required to renew their annual kennel licenses at this time.
Licenses expire on December 31 and must be renewed annually.

Late fee: In effect after February 28, 2017, a $5.00 fine will be issued to owners of all unlicensed dogs except:
