Westbank First Nation Law Enforcement Officers are authorized under certain WFN Laws and the WFN Notice Enforcement Law to issue 'notices' (tickets) for contraventions of WFN Laws. The Notice Enforcement Law also establishes a system by which these Notices can be enforced and the fines collected, which includes court action and the use of collection agencies.
What WFN Dispute Adjudication Law provides is an appeal system for those who want to dispute a Notice. Appeals are heard by trained and experienced third-party adjudicators whose decisions are binding on WFN and the person disputing the notice. Instructions for disputing a Notice are printed on each Notice.
