Economic development is the development of economic wealth of our reserve for the well-being of our community. It is a sustainable increase in living standards that includes an increase in per capita income, better education and health as well as environmental protection while keeping close ties with our culture and traditions. The Economic Development Department is more than all the development on our reserves - we are focusing on our Membership's voices and well being.

In our journey to independence, we achieved Self- government in April 2005 and have now reached in excess of 1.2 billion dollars in assessed property value in 2011. Communities in Bloom Initiative

Westbank First Nation was pleased to partner with the District of West Kelowna for Communities in Bloom 2011. Judges visited our beautiful community on July 23rd to 26th.

Westbank First Nation holds strong healthy partnerships throughout the region. As a sound Government we value all of our partners.
