Elders attended the BC Elders Gathering in Abbotsford July 12-14th, 2011. This is the Elders’ annual get away to meet new friends and attend workshops. The next Elders meeting is on Tuesday, October 4th at 10:00 a.m. at the Elder's Hall. The Elders hope to see you there.
The Elders will be hosting a Thanksgiving lunch with all of the Okanagan Nation Bands on Tuesday, October 4th from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Please RSVP Pam Crema (250.768.0227). This lunch will take place directly after the Elders meeting.
St. Patrick's monthly Mass is held every 4th Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with a potluck luncheon following after. There will be no potluck on December 24th. The Elders welcome Father Wayne to the WFN community.
The Elders are creating a working group to discuss Terms of Reference for the Kluhx Kluhx Hu-up. This group is open to all WFN Elders 55+. The first meeting will be held on Monday, October 17th from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Elders Hall. A light snack will be provided.
The Granny and Grampa program will be meeting with the Elders once a month at the Elders Hall on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. The first meeting will be on Thursday, October 20 with a catered lunch. On November 17th and December 15th there will be a potluck lunch. This program offers the opportunity for the children to interact with the Elders.
