EDUCATION AND TRAINING

My education and training is in the civil engineering field.  I attained a Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma from Okanagan College in 2001 and served my practicum with Urban Systems Ltd. in Kelowna.  I was then hired by WFN as the Project Administrator in the Public Works Department and was subsequently elected to Westbank First Nation Council in August 2005.  My skills and training in civil engineering has served me well in the area of capital planning and infrastructure as there are numerous development projects in the works on our reserve lands.  Proper planning in capital infrastructure is the key to providing improvements, opportunities, partnerships and cost sharing with all levels of government and potential developers.

FAMILY

I have two daughters and another child on the way. My partner and I are committed to parenting, and we teach our children to strive for higher education and we encourage participation in sports and recreation and learning the Okanagan culture and language.
