Water & Sewer

Westbank First Nation reserves are fully serviced with water, sewer and other utilities. The Westbank First Nation local government owns and operates the two primary water systems on IR 9 and IR 10. WFN is a member of the Westside Joint Water Committee and is one of five major water utilities serving the Westside. Sewer services are provided through a servicing agreement with the Regional District of the Central Okanagan.

Fire Hydrants

Fire Hydrant Bonnets and Ports will be colour coded as per the NFPA Standards:

Light Blue: Hydrants flowing 1500 G.B.M. or more
Green: Hydrants that flow between 1000 and 1499 G.P.M.
Orange: Hydrants that flow between 500 and 999 G.P.M.
Red: Hydrants that flow less than 499 G.P.M.

The barrel of the hydrants will remain the distinctive red colour.
