BC Hydro upgrade work along Old Okanagan Hwy from Shannon Lake Road to Hwy 97
Between Apr16 & Sep30 '12, BC Hydro is scheduled to work on overhead Distribution Line Circuit 2555 WBK as required to meet growing customer load in area. Activities will incl. replacing & relocating some existing poles & anchors along Old Ok Hwy with use of line trucks, backhoes, dump trucks, flaggers & other equip. Additional access will not be required outside of the Old Ok Hwy MOTI road allowance and there will be limited vegetation clearing along the route. More info call 778-452-6882.

Proposed pruning, brushing and hazard tree removal under BC Hydro power lines
BC Hydro plans to carry out pruning & brushing maintenance, and hazard tree removal (mostly beetle killed pine), along its distribution lines within WFN.

WFN Snowboard Team results
Congratulations to Trenton Louie who placed 3rd this past weekend in a Slope Style Competition at Sun Peaks. This is Trenton’s first medal as a rider for the Westbank First Nation Snowboard Team.
