* Describe your main reason(s) or goal(s) for seeking appointment to WFN’s Economic Development Commission.

* Describe your knowledge, skills, experience or training related to economic development, business or public relations that may be useful to the EDC.

* What actions have you recently undertaken to demonstrate an active interest in participating on WFN’s EDC (eg. attended past WFN Lands conferences or Business After Hours, applied to the EDC previously, or currently participate in events by the WFN EDC, Greater Westside Board of Trade, Kelowna Chamber of Commerce, Central Okanagan Economic Development Commission, Thompson Okanagan Tourism Association, or other.)

Six regular EDC meetings are held throughout the year (typically the third Tues of Feb, April, May, June, Sept and Nov)

* To the best of your knowledge, are you able to make a commitment to attend EDC meetings on a regular basis? YesNo

Eligibility requirements

Am eighteen (18) years of age or older.
Am of good character, credibility and reputation in the WFN community.
Am able to fulfill a three-year term on the EDC to the best of my knowledge at this current time,and act in the best interest of the EDC by supporting the EDC’s duties and responsibilities as outlined within the EDC Charter.
Will make best efforts to participate in internal and external events that provide opportunities to further the work of the EDC or promote WFN and the EDC.
Will refrain from promoting or pursuing personal interests while acting as a Commissioner or representing WFN.
Have not been convicted of an indictable offence in Canada or a felony in the United States of America within the last ten (10) years prior to the date of their application.
Am not an undischarged bankrupt.
Am not a Council Member, except for the Council Member(s) appointed under Section 2.
Have an adequate educational background or have appropriate business experience and a familiarity with WFN and the Central Okanagan.
Reside in the Central Okanagan.
