Opportunity for Members to attend BC Tourism Industry Conference
Westbank First Nation (“WFN”) Council is pleased to announce an opportunity for 5 members to attend the 2018 BC Tourism Industry Conference, March 7-9, 2018 in Kelowna.
The conference is a forum for tourism businesses and stakeholders from around British Columbia to come together and learn about the key issues, challenges and best practices in the industry. The forum will have guest speakers, including: Kelowna Mayor Colin Basran; Robyn Hanson, Global Social Media Coordinator for Destination BC; Todd Davidson, CEO of Travel Oregon; Darby Allen; Peter Harrison, Director of Industry Partnerships and Visitor Services at Destination BC; Kathleen Harvey from Destination BC; and Greg Klassen from Partner Twenty31 Consulting. You will be inspired by these professionals!
Letters of interest must be submitted by February 19, 2018 to Andrea atandrea.alexander@wfn.ca.
Applicants must be:
- A WFN Member;
- 19 years of age or older;
- A post-secondary student in business or a WFN Member promoting aboriginal tourism by way of skills, knowledge,
traditional practices, arts and crafts; and - Interested in Indigenous Studies and/or Political Science.
