Welcome to the 29th Annual siya? Celebration
Join WFN and sncəwíps Heritage Museum for the siya? celebration on Friday, June 7, 2019. The day will feature dancing, drumming, singing and a sharing of respect for the land and all that it offers.
The first annual event took place in 1990, when the Westbank First Nation School (now sənsisyustən) first opened. The celebration was later named siya?. Since time immemorial, the syilx people have celebrated the natural land and its resources. We honor our land and the resources it provides in order to ensure that we have a fruitful year to follow.
