Westbank First Nation Chief Roxanne Lindley taking three youth to 2019 Young Diplomats Forum in Brussels

For the third consecutive year, Chief Lindley will be attending the Global Diplomatic Forum alongside WFN Youth. The group will travel to Brussels, Belgium in September for an intensive week long Young Diplomats Forum consisting of practical sessions, workshops, policy exercises and institutional visits. This community of exceptionally bright and accomplished future leaders will gain further insights and opportunities to engage with key stakeholders and broaden their connections to influence global leaders.

The three WFN Member Youth selected this year include Summer De Guevara, Jordan Ned and Dayton Shields. Each of the selected youth are active WFN summer students and all have shown interest in the WFN Government with goals of becoming influential leaders in the community and beyond. Dayton showed exceptional leadership at a past forum and will be taking a lead role in the delegation this year.

Chief Lindley is pleased with the Youth attending and believes that not only will it be a strong group, but to have a returning youth ambassador will be advantageous to the current delegation.

Upon returning, the three participants will present to Membership about their experience and accomplishments abroad.
