May 26, 2021 - Public works are continuing to support community improvements. Additional works include:

  • Shelter Bay – Campbell Road upgrades include new lighting, bike lane and multi-use pathway. Paving for Campbell Road and multi-use pathway are anticipated to be completed from Campbell Place South June 1st. Paving for Campbell Road and multi-use pathway are anticipated to be completed from Campbell Place North August 1st. Limited impact to traffic is expected after August 1st.
  • Ariva – Old Ferry Wharf Road upgrades include new lighting, bike lane, and sidewalk. Paving works for Old Ferry Wharf are anticipated to be completed June 11th

April 15, 2021 - The Butt/Carrington Road area will reopen to the public tomorrow at 7 a.m. following closure that saw paving and line painting works completed.

The Elk/Carrington intersection 4-way stop installation works have now additionally been completed. All drivers are advised to be aware of this change and travel carefully when accessing the intersection.

April 13, 2021 - Today, between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., the Carrington and Butt Road intersection will be closed to support lift asphalt paving and line painting. Local, business, and emergency access will be maintained during this time.

March 30, 2021 - 2021 is shaping up to be a busy construction season for the WFN community. With this in mind, WFN would like all residents to be aware of these identified works to limit any potential impact to daily travel for residents and visitors on Westbank Lands. Identified works set out below are anticipated to begin in early April 2021, and will include the following:

Construction Zone Works

  • Old Okanagan Highway– New bike lane and sidewalk
  • Carrington/Gellatly Road – New roundabout (West Kelowna)
  • Carrington Road/Butt Road – Complete roundabout center median and paving
  • Carrington Road to Elk Road – New bike lane, sidewalk, and 4-way stop
  • Old Ferry Wharf Road – New lighting, bike lane, and sidewalk
  • Campbell Road – New lighting, bike lane, and asphalt pathway
