Collection for the 2026 Census is now underway and will run from May to July.
The Census happens every 5 years and is an important tool used to determine needs and support decision-making related to education, employment, healthcare, housing, early childhood development, and more.
You can participate online or in-person with a Statistics Canada employee. Information collected is confidential and employees are bound by oath that remains in effect for life – even after employment has ended.
