Notice Requesting Comments on Proposed Variance to Maximum Building Height

CONSULTATION NOTICE
Please be advised that the Westbank First Nation (WFN) Planning & Development office has received the following application for a variance to the subject property’s maximum building height allowance. We are notifying all Affected Interest Holders, WFN Members, and the Advisory Council.

Application Summary:
On March 10, 2025, WFN’s Board of Variance requested that Planning & Development staff initiate public consultation regarding the request for a variance. They requested comments from appropriate reviewing bodies, Affected Interest Holders, the Advisory Council, and WFN Members as part of the consultation process outlined in Section 6 and Section 8 of the WFN Land Use Law No. 2007-01.

Issue: The applicant requests to vary the maximum building height allowance from 9.0m to 10.13m.

Comments:
Affected Interest Holders, WFN Members, and the Advisory Council are invited to provide written comments on the proposed height variance request. In addition, comments regarding the building itself, which does not align with the approved Building Scheme for the West Harbour development, are encouraged. All comments must be received by the WFN Planning & Development office by 4:30pm on Monday, April 7, 2025.
