WFN Sending Ten Youth to Gathering Our Voices Indigenous Youth Conference 

Westbank First Nation will be taking ten youth, five female and five male to the Gathering Our Voices (GOV) Indigenous Youth Conference in Port Alberni, March 18-22, 2019.  The GOV will bring together more than 1000 Indigenous youth delegates as well as chaperones, Elders, speakers, guests, entertainment, staff and volunteers to  explore, to learn and to engage with culture among peers. Delegates and other guests will have the opportunity to make new connections, rekindle old bonds, engage their passions and discover a new drive.

WFN Youth are required to register through the Youth & Recreation Department and will agree to a Youth Behavior Contract. 

All registration fees, travel, accommodation & meals will be fully funded through the Youth & Recreation Department. Successful applicants are required to volunteer a minimum of five hours at the 2019 annual siya celebration.
