Notice to Residents
WFN is under Stage 2 water restrictions in accordance with the WFN Waterworks Law (2005-16), which includes year-round water conservation measures. These measures help ensure we meet demands for clean drinking water, agricultural use, stream flow to support local aquatic species, and emergency response needs.
Watering Schedule:
- Even-numbered addresses water on Saturdays and Tuesdays
- Odd-numbered addresses water on Sundays and Wednesdays
General Rules:
- No sprinkling between 10am & 7pm
- Only one 0.5in diameter outside tap may be used at any one time for sprinkling.
- Properties with automated sprinkler systems:
- Watering permitted between midnight & 6am on permitted days.
- Properties with manually controlled sprinkling systems (including those attached to outside taps):
- Watering permitted between 6am and 10am or 7pm and midnight on permitted days.
- Hand watering of all landscape plant materials and vegetable plantings is permitted.
- Never use an open, free flowing pipe, outlet, or hose for any watering.
Under certain situations, such as drought conditions, protection of works, and system efficiency, additional stages of water restrictions may be imposed by the WFN Utilities Department and will remain in effect until otherwise determined.
Hose bib timers are available free of charge; please contact the Utilities office to arrange delivery and setup.
WFN Law Enforcement Officers may issue fines of up to $1000 per offence for watering outside of the established watering regulations.
