WATER QUALITY ADVISORY LIFTED

As of Friday July 12, 2024 at 10:00am, the Water Quality Advisory (WQA) for IR 9 of the Westbank First Nation has been lifted

The change will be advertised as a change in the sandwich boards throughout the community. Please visit the Westbank First Nation Website wfn.ca for regular updates on any potential changes.

A Water Quality Advisory (WQA) was put in place on Westbank First Nation for IR #9 water distribution system as of 1:30 p.m. on June 30, 2024. Current Turbidity level is in the FAIR range of the water quality advisory levels.

The advisory will be highlighted at the boundaries of IR # 9 via sandwich boards throughout the community.  

Under a Water Quality Advisory, consumers with weakened immune system, and/or people who wish to take extra precautions should boil their water for one minute before using it for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice, and brushing teeth. An alternate source of safe water may also be used.
