The Water Quality Advisory (WQA) put in place on IR9 of the Westbank First Nation was lifted today August 17, 2023 at 9:30 a.m.
The change will be advertised as a change in the sandwich boards throughout the community.

WATER QUALITY ADVISORY IN EFFECT FOR IR #9

A Water Quality Advisory (WQA) was put in place on Westbank First Nation for IR #9 water distribution system as of 2:30 p.m. on June 2, 2023. Current Turbidity level is in the FAIR range of the water quality advisory levels.
The advisory is highlighted at the boundaries of IR # 9 via sandwich boards throughout the community.
Under a Water Quality Advisory, consumers with weakened immune system, and/or people who wish to take extra precautions should boil their water for one minute before using it for drinking, washing fruits and vegetables, making beverages or ice, and brushing teeth. An alternate source of safe water may also be used.
