Bear in the Area
Residents are advised to be cautious if they see the "Bear in the Area" sign in their Community. The signs are put up when the Conservation Officers (CO's) have received a notification of a bear in the area, and will be removed once they deem the bear has moved on.
Local CO's want to remind residents to call the Report All Poachers and Polluters (R.A.P.P) hotline if they see a bear or other wildlife that may pose a threat in their community to report it. CO's are able to respond to calls in a timely matter.
