Comprehensive Community Plan Review & Vote
Background
Westbank First Nation adopted its Comprehensive Community Plan (CCP) in November 2010. The CCP guides Council in making decisions regarding growth, development, resources management, and community planning within WFN Lands and governance area. The Community Plan Law No. 2010-04 requires Council to review the plan every five years with a vote held to adopt any proposed amendments. Fall of 2015 marks the 5-year adoption of the Plan, and as such a comprehensive review has been underway. To date, seven consultation meetings have taken place with the community since January 2015.
During these meetings, goals, actions and policies related to the Plan have been reviewed. Each section of the Plan has also undergone discussion with the membership resulting in feedback and suggested revisions.
The member-driven Community Plan provides direction for the Community; take part in the process and help the community grow and thrive.
