COMMUNITY EVENTS TO HONOUR AND RECOGNIZE RESIDENTIAL SCHOOL SURVIVORS AND VICTIMS

June 4, 2021 - Following the healing circle hosted by WFN for residential school survivors on June 3rd, WFN stands in support of the many vigils and memorials held across Canada, including:

WFN supports the continued awareness of the lasting impacts of the residential school system on Indigenous Peoples across Canada, and strongly encourages visiting the Truth and Reconciliation Commission’s website www.trc.ca to learn more about its legacy.

Residents may also visit WFN’s residential school survivor monument located at the WFN Elders Hall (3255D Shannon Lake Road, Westbank, BC).
