yi səxʷḱʷinaʔməm (Council) gave InitialConsideration to Neighbourhood Plan 10-6 whichincludes the amendment of the land use designationand zoning within the Neighbourhood Planning area.The Neighbourhood Plan covers an area ofapproximately 19 hectares located at the corner ofWestside and Old Ferry Wharf Roads. Now that initialconsideration has been given, staff will proceed with aconsultation period. As part of the Community Core Phase II project, thecivil works portion was awarded to BC GeneralContracting in the amount of $149,754.58.
yi səxʷḱʷinaʔməm approved the inclusion of thehardscape works in the construction contract for thenew Youth Centre. When the contract was awarded toWibco Construction, it didn’t include works outside thebuilding such as concrete walkways, stairs, retainingwalls, site grading, fencing and site furniture.
