FIRST NATION HEALTH AUTHORITY – VIRTUAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITY

The First Nation Health Authority (FNHA), in partnership with Douglas College, will continue to offer virtual learning for the Indigenous End of Life Guide (IEOLG). During January and February 2021, two online sessions were offered with 31 individuals participating. Through partnership with Douglas College, FNHA will continue to provide this opportunity over the coming months. Identified dates include:

•April 22, 23, 26 and 27
•May 13, 14, 17 and 18
•June 7, 8, 10 and 11
•August 23, 24, 26 and 27

Each sessions occurs over 4 days running from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The programming is targeted for First nations and Indigenous individuals who have identified to voluntarily provide care, support, and advocacy for those facing the end of their lives, with the goal to have one IEOLG in every community.

Each session will have a 16-person capacity limit and will be offered to ‘approved’ applicants first. There is a peer review committee for all applications.
