Celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day
June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day! Previously known as Aboriginal Day, this day was created for all Canadians to celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and outstanding contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis people.

Offer traditional Indigenous snacks to your staff and customers. There are multiple aboriginal food service providers that make bannock, saskatoon berry drinks, bison ribs or wild smoked salmon (just to name a few). Kekuli Cafe, Little Miss Chief, Indigenous World Winery, Red FoxClub and 19 Okanagan Grill & Bar are all wonderful options. Encourage your staff and customers to dine at these restaurants.
Visit the suk'wtemsquilx'w West Kelowna Arts Council (SWAC) website, to purchase indigenous art for your business or potentially showcase the work of a local artist.
