MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK
May 3, 2021 - May 3-9, 2021 is Mental Health Awareness Week and the WFN Health and Wellness Team are taking a moment to talk about this important topic.
Whether it is you, or someone you know, mental health concerns impact us all. Unfortunately, those struggling with mental health, are most likely to be suffering in silence. Together, we hope to change this.
This week we want to take the time to remove the stigma associated with mental health disorders and by doing that, we will hope to move it from the dark and shine a light on it. We can do this through open conversation and education through vital resources such as the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA)
Disorders that individuals can suffer from can vary in nature and experience, and include anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, schizophrenia, substance use disorder, and many more. If you or anyone you know is struggling with mental health, know that you are not alone and we are here to help. WFN offers a number of programs and services that can help make a difference and lift up those in need. Please reach out to the Health and Wellness Team at 250-768-0227.
When “WE” come together as a community and stand as one we empower others and we are “ 1 Strong”. Together we can remove the stigma from mental health.
