June 1, 2021 - Westbank First Nation is requesting letters of interest for the Public Art Committee (“PAC”) in order to fill a number of seats which have become vacant. Applicants must have an interest or expertise in art, architecture, planning, building construction, or community culture. The seats to be filled include a Member Elder seat, a WFN Member-at-large seat, and a WFN Youth seat for a youth who has attained the age of majority in B.C.
Interested candidates must submit a letter of interest that clearly states their involvement with the WFN community, their knowledge of art and culture, specifically as it pertains to WFN culture, the seat they are applying for, and the reasons why they should be selected as a PAC member. Successful candidates will be appointed by Council for a 3-year term, in accordance with Agreement 2016-03 Public Art Committee Terms of Reference. PAC members are paid an honorarium for duly convened meetings attended, which typically take place around kaʔɬís (three) (3) times per year. PAC members are also encouraged to attend other events that may happen throughout the year so as to carry out PAC responsibilities.
