WFN is looking to create the 2022 Siya Committee
The siyaʔ Celebration includes a ceremony that honours Chief siyaʔ - Saskatoon Berry as well as the important role of women in our community. Chief siyaʔ is an integral part of our environment that acknowledges diversity, abundance and growth and represents a strong spiritual, cultural, language and ceremonies connected to the təmxʷulaʔxʷ/land.
As a part of our responsibility to acknowledge Chief siyaʔ, it is important to give thanks and celebrate.We need the following positions filled:
- One Westbank First Nation Member.
- One Westbank First Nation Elder.
- One Westbank First Nation Youth.
Monthly meetings commence in January and occur more frequently as the siyaʔ Celebration approaches.If you wish to fill one of these seats please send a brief email or letter of interest to Michelle Ryder.
