April 8, 2021 - 2021 WFN Summer Student Opportunities are now available for application. All applications must be submitted by April 25, 2021.
Intergovernmental Affairs Summer Student
The IGA/T&R Summer Student will be responsible for providing administrative assistance and research support to both the IGA and the T&R Departments in order to gain a better understanding of their specific roles and responsibilities along with external governments within Federal, Provincial, Territorial and Aboriginal governance.

Council Intern
The Council Intern Program provides an opportunity for a WFN Member who is interested in pursuing a career in government, law, politics, communications, or a related field. This position will allow for a unique learning experience, as the Council Intern will be crucial in the development of Office of Council social media while also learning about WFN Government operations, including how the WFN Self-Government Agreement, Constitution, Laws, Council, and Administration work to benefit our community.

Sncewips Summer Student
Under the direction of the Sncəwips Cultural and Operations Administrator, the primary duties of the Summer Student will be to provide administration support services to the Sncəwips Heritage Museum (the “Museum”). It’s preferable that candidates have a keen interest in art, history and indigenous studies and are pursuing a career in that area. A valid BC Driver’s License is required as there may be travel between WFN office locations. Secondary duties, and as directed by the Manager of IGA, may involve providing administrative support to the IGA office to cover staff leaves, job shadowing, and other research projects as required.

Records Information Management Summer Student
The RIM Summer Student is responsible for the efficient delivery of daily administrative and clerical tasks for the RIM department as required and directed by the Supervisor, Records and Information Management. In this position the student will learn how to scan and index documents using the Electronic Document Management System.

Summer Camp Leader
The Summer programs provide recreational and learning activities for children and youth ages 5 -11 throughout the summer months. The Summer Camp Leaders will be responsible for introducing a variety of games, sports, and educational activities to the program participants ensuring the main objectives of the program are to be innovative, exciting, professional, safe, fun, and positive.
