WFN Scholarship and Bursary Applications Due July 29
Westbank First Nation Education Services is pleased to announce the opening of the 2016 WFN Scholarship and Bursary Program.
Westbank First Nation is committed to creating a healthy, strong and vibrant community by supporting thosewho choose to pursue post-secondary education, by helping WFN members reach their educational and careergoals, and by inspiring professional capacity as a self-governed nation.
The Education Bursary and Scholarship program will recognize WFN student members who strive for academicsuccess and persevere in obtaining post-secondary education while maintaining a balanced lifestyle as students,parents and community members.
Four (4) $800.00 bursaries will be awarded. Bursaries are intended to provide financial assistance to WFNstudents who demonstrate financial need, community involvement and good school work ethic.
The four bursaries include:
- Chief Black Bear-skəmxist, Governance
- Chief Spring Salmon- ntityix, Economy
- Chief Saskatoon Berry-siyaʔ, Community
- Chief Bitterroot-sp’iəm, Land
One (1) $1, 500.00 St’k’ʷək’ʷip Scholarship will be awarded. St’k’ʷək’ʷip Scholarship is intended toprovide financial assistance to students who demonstrate high academic achievement and an exceptionaleducation portfolio.
Application Deadline: July 29, 2016 at 4:30 p.m.
Pick up or request an application from Community Services. Submit complete applications to the Education Services Office. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
