MASKS MANDATORY AT WFN BUILDINGS AND FACILITES
November 4, 2020 - Effective today, a non-medical mask or face covering is required to be worn in all Westbank First Nation (WFN) operated spaces and facilities. This includes the WFN Government/Lindley Building, Community Services, Youth Centre, Public Works/Utilities office, and facilities such as the gymnasium.
WFN is also operating with reduced staffing numbers in the office but works to maintain its high level of service to Members, businesses, developers, and residents. To meet the goal of maintaining necessary operations, while ensuring the health and safety of our staff and public, the Government will operate in a variety of ways. Members, residents, or customers seeking information, advice or meetings are asked to do so by email or phone (www.wfn.ca/contact-us.htm) and limit person-to-person contact as much as possible. All staff will wear masks when interacting in the public, or when social distancing requirements can not be adhered to.
Along with additional safety protocols - which include hand-sanitizing stations, physical distancing, directional signage, plexiglass barriers and reduced room occupancies – disposable masks will be made available for visitors entering without their own mask. WFN strongly encourages those feeling unwell not to attend WFN spaces or facilities.
WFN will continue to follow and promote adherence to the Provincial Health Ministry and the guidelines offered through Dr. Bonnie Henry to strive towards providing a safe and healthy environment in recognition of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
