WFN RECOGNIZES INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY

International Overdose Awareness Day is a global event held on August 31st of each year that aims to raise awareness about overdose and reduce the stigma of drug-related death.

In recognition of International Overdose Awareness Day, Westbank First Nation (WFN) staff and community members gathered together to raise awareness to this epidemic. Staff further hosted a Drive/Walk-Thru BBQ to support discussion and awareness, as well as made harm reduction kits available for those in need.
