Wildfire Evacuation Information
Wednesday, July 28, 2021 - WFN has staff actively involved with the Emergency Operation Centre (EOC), addressing fire situations around our community and nation. WFN facilities are on the list of available spaces if needed. All evacuees need to register with Emergency Support Services (ESS) before accommodations will be provided. At this point in time, accommodations have been in the form of hotel rooms. Our staff are working hard to keep our community open, while being proactive and protective of our community members and forests.
Wednesday, July 21, 2021 - In the event that you are evacuated from your home due to wildfire, it is imperative that you register with the ESS in your area to ensure all evacuees are accounted for and First Responders do not go back in looking for individuals who have already evacuated. ESS is also responsible for setting evacuees up with vouchers for hotel rooms in your area, meals, etc. It is advised that you register with ESS online, but in person options are available.
