Zoning and land use designations are regulated by the WFN Land Use Law. Amendments to a zoning or land use designation may be requested by submitting an application to the WFN Planning Department, which will require approval from Council.
If the proposed zoning amendment is within an existing Neighbourhood Plan Area, the application will not proceed until a Neighbourhood Plan has been approved as an amendment to the Land Use Designation.
Applications must include the completed application form, documentation of current ownership, a description of the proposed amendment to the Zoning Regulation, the reasons for requesting the proposed amendments, and a map showing the geographic boundary of the area affected by the proposed amendment.
