Welcome to a new and exciting way to learn nsyilxcən, an Interior Salish language, which is the traditional language of Westbank First Nation and the syilx peoples of the Okanagan valley. This resource centre will provide visitors with information on nsyilxcən language, language learning opportunities, and additional resources that connect beyond WFN.
Westbank First Nation would like to thank and acknowledge the language speakers and their efforts of existing resources left behind which have, and will continue, to support the process of language revitalization through initiatives such as this language site. This includes WFN community members, Okanagan Nation Elders, the Paul Creek Curriculum, and FirstPeoples’ Cultural Council.
