Sneena Road Overpass
Completed in December 2014 at a cost of $9.3 million, this project fulfilled a longstanding commitment between the Province of BC and Westbank First Nation to provide safe and efficient access at Sneena Road. The road supports ongoing development of the area and future traffic needs, decreases local traffic on Highway 97, and provides alternate access to the William Bennett Bridge. It is particularly helpful for emergency vehicle access to the Casa Loma area and bridge when there is an incident on the highway or heavy traffic.
At the time this project was completed, WFN had contributed over one million dollars toward improvements such as sidewalks, street lighting and infrastructure upgrades.
