Government Strategic Plan

Adopted by Council, the Government Strategic Plan reflects the aspirations of the WFN community and guides Council in its decision-making toward meeting goals and objectives. It sets out Council's strategic priorities and what Council intends to accomplish during its term in office.

Strategic Plan

Strategic priorities

Council is committed to creating a healthy, strong and vibrant community through programs and services that promote physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being and healing.

Priorities 1-5

Priority 1: Encouraging a rich and vibrant culture

Priority 2: Supporting all Members through community services (early years, youth, Elders, housing, education and employment)

Priority 3: Intergovernmental relationships and reconciliation

Priority 4: Economic development

Priority 5: Good governance

The strategic priorities guide annual strategic goals, which are more specific and measurable and help Council and administration focus on achieving specific results. Review the full Strategic Plan to learn more.
