Restorative circles are held to support students as needed and include facilitating conversation with the student, guardians (if applicable), Hiring Manager, and Human Resources to come to resolve on performance concerns.
This program is open to WFN Members and Indigenous students.
Students are identified through engagement with schools, the WFN Youth Centre, and through various community outreach initiatives.
"Having the opportunity to participate in WFN’s Summer Student Program is something I will never forget! It gave me a chance to step into a whole unfamiliar environment, learn new skills, and grow both personally and professionally. Being surrounded by new people with new responsibilities pushed me out of my comfort zone in an incredibly positive way. With firsthand experience and exposure, I was able to see what genuinely interested me which helped narrow down my passions and understanding of what kind of degree I am aiming for and the career I can see myself in long-term. Overall, it was an incredibly valuable and rewarding experience that allowed me to have a better sense of direction for my future!"
