Medical services plan of BC (MSP)

We cover the cost of your medical services plan.

Extended health

Covers vision care, prescription drugs, paramedical services (physiotherapy, massage therapy, etc.), and more.

Dental

Coverage of basic dental, orthodontic services, and restorative services. Coverage amount may vary.

Group life insurance

Employee and family assistance plan

Health and wellness program

Reimbursement of eligible health and recreation activity fees, such as a gym pass or fitness equipment.

Pension plan

Permanent, full-time salaried employees enroll in a Municipal Pension Plan (MPP).

Vacation and leave

  • Vacation entitlement starts at 10 days and increases one day per additional year of service.
  • 12 statutory holidays are observed throughout the year, including National Indigenous Peoples Day on June 21.

syilx/Okanagan Nation

Westbank First Nation is located within the traditional, unceded territory of the syilx people whose ancestors have lived here, in the Okanagan Nation, since time immemorial. Interested applicants and new employees are strongly encouraged to learn more about our history and culture. Learn more from the Okanagan Nation Alliance and Sncewips Heritage Museum.

Hours of Operation

Government Building 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Community Services 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with some programs running until 9:00 p.m.
Youth Centre 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with some programs running until 9:00 p.m.
Sensisyusten School 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
WCDC daycare 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Public Works and Utilities 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
